For Ranger Zonk

Post by GSXRanger »

Ok, I am putting this out in the Pit for all to see.

I wanna take the time to let everyone know this... as you all are aware, I had major rotator cuff repair surgery on Wednesday. Well, today being Saturday, and me being ADD as hell, I had to get out of the house. So, I doped my ass up on Percs and went to the Stevens Creek Mall up in San Jose.

I was shopping around, when my phone rang. It was a number that I didn't recognize... but, when I answered, I almost dropped my phone.

Ranger Zonk's Teen Aged son called me to wish me well. He and a buddy of his were down in Monterey to get a bite to eat at Hula's and he had the foresight to call and wish me well.

This speaks WONDERS of the Character of the Zonk family. I had only met his son once, when I went up and chowed down on some great grub that day... and being a youngster, he surely didn't have to call and wish an old fucker like me well... but he did.

That meant the world to me.

So, Ranger Zonk... what ever you did with your boy, for him to turn out as good as he did, good on ya brother. That is a fine young man you have there. Make sure you tell him that when he graduates from what ever Academy he chooses, I will be HONORED to salute him.

Again, it was such a little gesture in the grand scheme of things... but a HUGE gesture in the scheme of life.

I agree. I have had the honor of meeting his sone as well. He has a great sense of humor and is a smart ass just like his old man. Good to see young adults like that still have respect and actually care about others. You don't see that much these days.
It's all good.

It appears that Zonk and Mrs. Zonk have raised a fine young man. I, for one, admire this accomplishment.

If that were his goal, he would have contacted the Scuba masked man.
