women rangers

Post by Leg Ranger »

I've used the search tool and have found nothing about the topic of women rangers. Given the recent events concerning women in and passing Ranger school and the likelihood that this may become the new norm. I am interested to see what Ranger community felt about this seemingly sensitive topic. I personally am struggling to deal with the idea of women Rangers. Regardless of if the course was "watered down" or not, I'm still not dealing well with the idea of women wearing a tab. Is nothing sacred these days and do we as men have to feel sexist for feeling like this is ours and ours alone? Thoughts?

A couple things..

Does it make your Ranger course harder or easier?
If you went through with women, would you wear a Ranger Tab after graduation?
Is leadership defined by a male giving orders?

The Ranger Department sealed their fate years ago when the definition of the school was changed to leadership. It's not an infantrymen school. And even if it was, Women have a place in it. My dick isn't so big that my Ranger tab falls off because a women is an outstanding leader. Here is a reality check... Women are fucking smart. Especially in the military. I've been around a few since I was cadre at OCS. 95% wouldn't pass Ranger school. Higher for the men. But the continuous fact of the women I've met is that they make more sound military decisions than men. Let that soak in the next time your dick hides in your b-hole.

After discussing it with some of our more recent / my Ranger Batt boy brethren. And listening to their perspective after dealing with females in the combat environment ( insecure thread here so I am assuming their actual title is still some version of opsec)

I have decided that as long as blow jobs don't equal Gos, then I am ok with it....of course bjs could go either way these days...

Since I am admittedly not a Ranger, I've kept quiet on the topic in the forums to this point, but this thought keeps occurring to me: out of approximately 70,000 females in the Regular Army, Uncle Sam managed to find all of 2 females that could make it through the entire process, and both went through two recycles (different phases per recycle, as normal) of RS in order to get there. While I hear that recycling in RS is not terribly unusual, it also means these two weren't "fast tracked" to honor grad.
