He's the one person in the world, that if he dies, the world will actually stop and take notice.

He's a freak of fucking nature, to say the least.

I "only" listened to MJ because Eddie VanHalen played guitar on Beat it.

R.I.P. to a great entertainer, albiet a little off center later in his life, but he definately earned the title "king of pop"

I think it must of really sucked to have been him. His life was proof to me that money cannot buy happiness, but it can buy a LOT of cool toys. Even for all that he died alone and did not leave a legacy that can be envied.

Sources close to Jackson told the LA Times that he was escorted to the hospital by long time friend, but not lover, Billy Jean.

My thoughts exactly.

You know, my HH6 pops up with that on occasion. My usual smart ass retort is "Maybe, but it sure puts one hell of a down payment." Of course that is just me, but I really think that it can. If you are a messed person, you will be messed up rich or poor. I know if I had his money, I would be happy. As far as him as a person, I really don't care for his music and never have, but I know that he will be missed by many. It makes no diff to me.

He did nothing for America except make of mockery of himself, children, and life. He died unhappy because he was fucking useless.

When we have soldiers die and the press counts them as mere numbers, when we have warriors winning fights but its not reported then my eyes bleed when I see a big deal made out of shit stains like Michael Jackson. Sorry, but fuck Michael Jackson.

He certainly was a talented performer, but I'm glad the freak is gone. I can't lose the vision of him waving an infant off that Berlin balcony, or the suspicion of his pediphilia.
"Pitiful" is the only adjective that comes to my mind.

Some pretty good posts so far, I figured this thread would've gone south by the third post, but the night is still young.

I may drop a memorial to Michael Jackson into the porcelain pot in the morning after I have a cup of coffee. It will be a tribute to the music he recorded in the 80's.

I always preferred putting in some Zepplein when all my friends wanted to listen to Jackson's music, I'll just never really understand all the hype about his music.... to each his own I guess.

I do hope he finds peace now. Jenny
