11 Rangers recognized for bravery

Post by panthersix »

On Oct. 5, 2008, Staff Sgt. Brett M. Krueger of the 3rd Ranger Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, led his platoon in an assault on several armed enemy combatants during a Joint Task Force operation in Iraq.

It was dangerous mission, a mission that involved a series of raids that began the previous night and raged into the next day. It was a mission that ultimately claimed the life of one the battalion’s own, Sgt. William Rudd.
