Afghanistan and Iran agree to pact

Post by Flesh Thorn »

Afghan President Hamid Karzai agreed on a cooperation pact with Iran, despite continuing to resist signing a security agreement with the U.S., Reuters reported.

Karzai made the deal with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in Tehran Sunday.

"Afghanistan agreed on a long-term friendship and cooperation pact with Iran," Karzai's spokesman Aimal Faizi said, according to Reuters. "The pact will be for long-term political, security, economic and cultural cooperation, regional peace and security."

Time to tell Karzai adios! Yank all support, and issue the warning that "the next time we break your toys we're not going to replace them."

That's just fucking great. Fuck him. Is there an opposition group that's worth supporting that could tune him up? Why do we never seem to back a leader that will be worth a
damn?

Our GIs that have fought and died in that shithole deserve better then to let this stand.

Maybe a "misdirected" JDAM?

There was a decent option for leadership in Kabul early on....problem is that we were already supporting Karzai and would not under any circumstances condone a hostile take over.

It's been well documented that we were warned not to trust him or anyone in his family. We failed to listen. Again.
