Obama Worried About Gun Confiscation

Post by Flesh Thorn »

WASHINGTON—Reflecting attitudes held throughout his personal and political life, President Barack Obama restated Thursday his long-standing fear that the U.S. government is even now putting measures in place to take his guns away.

Obama, an avid gun enthusiast with an extensive history of mistrusting the federal government, claimed Washington's actions in recent years have been particularly egregious and described its "rabid anti-gun zealotry" as "some real sinister, Nazi-type shit."

"The thing for damn sure is you can't trust 'em," Obama told reporters Thursday morning, cradling a .22-caliber bolt-action hunting rifle in his arms. "No matter how hard you work or how many taxes you pay, the goddamn government's sure as shit gonna pass some law or officiate some warrant to try and take your guns. Because when the people don't have any guns, that's when they take control."

It wouldn't allow me to post a new topic, but I found this article very interesting. Do you really think Obama could be re-elected for a third term?

The constitution says two terms is enough.

Way back when Washington became the first president he was elected unanimously. He served, and then decided to go back to his farm. The Congress begged him to do a second term, he didn't want to, but he said OK since the country was still just starting and needed his service. He served, and then decided to go back to his farm. Congress then asked him to serve a third time, and Washington told them "no". He said that being president is like being king. It is absolute power. Absolute power will eventually corrupt all men and no man should ever serve more than two terms.

Every president after Washington had to make the decision on whether or not they thought themselves to be smarter than Washington. Were they better than our original president. Every president in our history looked into their soul and realized that Washington was right, and they were not better. So no president ever served more than two terms, because Washington said so.

Then came Frankln Delano Roosevelt, who not only said "I am better" but also believed he could not be corrupted by all that power. However he was corrupted. He passed laws without the approval of Congress. He arrested citizens who opposed his new laws. When the Supreme Court over ruled his unconstitutional laws he attempted to stack the supreme court with six more justices, all beholden to him. He outlawed the ability to own gold so that all would have to rely on his government for their only wealth. He locked up thousands of US citizens merely for what country their ancestor's came from. He took their property, seized their assets and used it towards his governmental goals. His role model for his new government was the new style of government of Italy, led by Benito Mussolini.

After four terms he finally died, but Congress immediately amended the Constitution to make sure that no one man would ever have that much power again. They forced all future presidents to honor the advice of Washington.

For any president to serve a third term he would have to get two thirds of Congress to pass an Amendment to the Constitution. Then he would have to get three fourths of the states to ratify that Amendment. This will not happen in the world we live in now. In our 50-50 political world that exists for us, there is no way 2/3 or 3/4 will ever happen.

If anyone tells you otherwise they are full of shit

Frightening. George Washington had had enough after eight years. That ought to be the standard. George Washington is one of the few men in history who walked away from absolute power twice. He was the indispensible man. BHO is not.

A few may contemplate, but it will never make it out of any committee and it won't be brought up on the floor. The few who do bring it up have uneducated parasites for constituents and are doing it to gain their votes.

Well that covers just about the entire liberal Democratic Party. At least on the east and west coast where everything is free for the sick, lame and lazy.
