The 75th Ranger Regiment's Promotions to Master Sergeant

Post by centermass »

Congratulations to the 38 Ranger NCOs who have been selected for promotion to Master Sergeant. The 75th Ranger Regiment continues to Lead the Way in development and selection of the Army's future Non-Commissioned Officer leadership.

For most, this will be a bittersweet moment for them as now, almost all will go on to the Big Army, and never go back, as the number of E-8 slots available within the Regiment, just aren't that many.

Congratulations to them all.

A) There are places that E-8s with their skillset can excel.

B) They are so young...

Believe me, there are plenty of places in Big Army where their skills are needed.

A definite loss for the Regiment, a huge gain for the Army. Congratulations Rangers.

I know I'm getting old when even Master Sergeants look young to me. :|
