As far as I know, there are always a handful of reserve component in the competition. Usually they are from National Guard SF units, but there were a few guys who came from plain vanilla units that were Ranger qualified. Unfortunately, the reserve component guys never seemed to last more than a few hours.

My grandson is one of the Rangers selected to represent his company from 1st Battalion at the BRC in April, so it looks like I'm taking my 6th vacation to Ft. Benning in 3 years. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions as to what events you're able to watch, where they would be, or a general schedule? From the BRC website I understand that every year is a little different but hoping to get some tips as to what happens or where it happens each day.

I'm kind of a planner and like to gather a little intel to get ahead of the game but if its a "go with the flow" let me know.

RLTW

Thanks!

Hey Pete, Congrats to your grandson! My son's coach is a recent BRC winner, and warned him that the NG teams would be very strong.
