I made sure to keep myself out of trouble and not get caught up in the temptations of civilian life. I said hi to family and my teachers, and made sure to avoid anyone that would put me in a situation that would compromise my contract
Good, that's sound advice for every DEP here. Good luck to you moving on.

Rangers,

I haven't been on in a while, but I have been busy finishing AIT. I am no longer a Student 1SG, but we are done with our final graduation requirement. All that's left now is to walk across the stage.

JFO Breakdown
A good majority of the days are spent taking notes. Topics covered are AAA, Aircraft threats, TACS and AAGS, Aircraft, Aircraft Capabilities, Aircraft weapons, AC-130 CFF, Army Attack Aviation CFF, CAS CFF, Urban CAS, Night CAS, FSCM's, FAC(A), and CAS/Laser brevity terms. All of the notes went pretty in depth. Im pleased to say I have retained a lot of the information taught. Of the 14 day course, 6 of the days are spent doing simulations (not in Ranger Domeij Hall). Ranger Disinfertention, if you want me to go more in depth, I gladly will.

For simulations we were in Monti Hall. We did CAS, and Army Attack Aviation. The sims weren't bad, and if you pay attention to what others are doing you actually learn a lot. Overall I felt as though JFO was not very difficult. However we are not JFO qualified or certified yet. We have simply just started our career in JFO with the academic portion, and will need to do more training once we get into regiment.

I leave Fort Sill on the 9th for Airborne, and I cant wait to take the next step in my journey.

Dylan, great news all around. Glad you at least learned something from the JFO section of AIT. Those are some good sections to learn on, did they teach you a CAS 9-Line? You said CAS CFF.

Did they brief you on who Kris Domeij was?

You're almost to a point in your career where you will gain freedom. Be careful, stay focused, and keep us updated as you move to Benning. Always let us know how you are doing and if you need something! And... Never, Never quit!

Thank you Rangers. Ranger Disinfertention, they did teach us a CAS 9-Line, but it was pretty brief, and I will need a lot more training before I am comfortable doing it(especially at night). For now I will just have to memorize the format and make sure I know the core fundamentals before I can be flexible with how I do it.

They did not talk about Ranger Domeij, but I made sure to do my own research, as well as having my battle buddy do his research.

Ranger IntelToad, and Ranger Disinfertention, I appreciate the support, and will be sure to keep you updated, while also keeping my nose clean.
