1) Who are you talking to and why aren't you addressing them properly?
2) Why will your run time "have to do"? How about using the next couple weeks to continue to push yourself to a higher standard more conducive to a successful completion of the objective?
Beat your face for being complacent before you even step off.

Please continue to post your SITREP when you ship for OSUT. Never, never quit!Otterse wrote:Roger Ranger Cams, Ranger CharlieRanger1FFV, and Ranger Jim.
1. I was talking to Rangers. I will address you all properly next time.
2. I was referring to my APFT at the time. I never quit holding myself to a higher standard otherwise there would be no objective, and I will never quit improving my own abilities.
3. Doing pushups for being complacent.

Rangers, I'm on my way to OSUT right now and I am ready and motivated. I will be giving my all during OSUT because the moment I signed that contract I have been living by the creed.
I really appreciate all this site has provided for me and I am really glad I signed on.
I will be posting updates when I can.

Re: SITREP - Otterse
Get at it stud. You'll quickly learn why all this "attention to detail" and "military courtesy" is enforced here.
Have fun, learn, listen and watch. 2 ears, 2 eyes, 1 mouth.
Stay away from the nay-sayers and n'er do wells, you'll know who they are within the first week. Keep your nose clean and don't quit.

Re: SITREP - Otterse
Good SITREP. You now have first hand experience as to why we push so hard here in regards to attention to detail, motivation, excellence, exceeding the standard-not just meeting the standard and getting by, and PT.
You can see what a difference it makes when it comes to excelling and being accepted into Regiment, or just doing the minimum requirements and being a pogue somewhere for 4 yrs.
The latter, once you're ETS'd and partaking in civilian life again, does not help much at all, does not motivate you to be a better civilian and push just as hard for success in your next chapter. But if you follow the Ranger Standards, you will have a much higher success rate.
It is of course much more complicated than that which I wrote above, but I think you understand better now.
Keep fighting forward man, always try to exceed the standards set for your group, and remember that this really does build a foundation and a set of guide lines for the rest of your life. Don't settle for less than what you deserve.
I look forward to watching you progress and succeed. There is a Scroll out there waiting for you, you just have to climb high enough to earn it.

From Nov until Jan and this is the SITREP you provide? Beat your face.Otterse wrote:Roger Ranger Cams and Ranger Jim.
There are only two reasons for this;
One is that you're so goddamned focused and locked in that you're keeping it direct, short and getting back to work.
Or two, you're not doing well and are starting to give up, and don't want to put it all out there.
Which one will you be?
