SITREP-Greyspe95
Hello everyone, quick update and recap of everything so far.
Got to Ft. Benning with 11xOpt40 in October, graduated OSUT in Feb., recycled in airborne and did it again, went through Pre-RASP.
Currently in RASP class 06-15. We just finished Cole Range and are starting week 3 tomorrow. Things are going well and I'm feeling very good about everything so far. We began with 163 and are now down to a class of 93.
Cole Range sucked, but wasn't that bad at all, and it still feels surreal to have the hardest part of RASP done with. We still have 5 more weeks of training, but with the worst of it out of the way I'm feeling pretty good.
If I never hear "Hit the woodline" again, I'll be a happy camper.

Roger Ranger Rangerjd, will do, I plan on finishing strong.
Ranger Slowpoke, this dumb private listened to his drill sergeants who told him not to drink water the weekend before jump week, that way I wouldn't have any problems with having to use the latrine after being JMPI'd. Sunday night and into Monday morning I was puking everything up that was left in my stomach, managed to hold it in and run down to the airfield where we got harnessed up, but right before my chalk was about to load up I started puking again, so the Jump masters said I was a safety hazard on the plane and sent me to the clinic to get a couple IVs of fluids.

Ranger Jim, the incident did result in me getting recycled in Airborne School, however I have moved on to RASP already and am in week 3 currently.

Good evening all.
Friday is graduation. All we have left until then is TA50 turn in and grad rehearsal. Barring any stupid mistakes I'll be donning my beret and scroll at the end of the week.
No orders yet, but we're supposedly getting them tomorrow.

Nice. Great job bud. I'm still shaking my head at the DS telling you to not drink water all weekend. They must've been some nasty legs to pass out such shit info.GreySpe95 wrote:Good evening all.

Lesson learned?
For all you other Newbs if you're reading this, drink fucking water. Fuck the harness, stay hydrated, if you have to piss your pants then piss your fucking pants, no big deal, it'll dry, but dehydration will fuck you up and piss off your Squad Leaders if you're not taking proper care to hydrate. It jeapordizes your teams integrity and whatever mission might be at hand.

Roger Ranger Cams, lesson learned.
Received orders today, I'm staying here at Benning; 3/75.
Honestly my top choice was 2nd, but Ranger batt is Ranger batt and I'm very honored to be a part of the Regiment. Got a lot of Rangers down here for the rendezvous which is cool and intimidating, but I'm sure I'll get plenty of that at my unit.
