SITREP- Gerrick
Rangers,
Today is the day I set forth on my journey. I am very appreciative for the mentoring, and I don't think I would feel as prepared without it. I look forward to updating you all of my progress in the very near future.
And to the mentees... Good luck with all of your preparation and *never quit*. I will see you all on the other side.

Rangers,
It's been a while since I've been on here but here's a quick sitrep. Tomorrow I will be turning blue and Friday is my OSUT graduation day. I'd say I had a somewhat successful time in OSUT. I achieved two of my goals which were to achieve a 300 on my PT test and hold a leadership position. I have been my platoon's Platoon Guide since week 4 which is considered a pretty long duration. The toughest part has definitely been dealing with the shitbags here. Other than dealing with people's ignorance and immaturity OSUT has been too easy. I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead. I report to Airborne School on Friday so that's my next 50m target/goal. I look forward to further positive sitreps in the near future!

Re: SITREP- Gerrick
Rangers and mentees,
Here is an overdue sitrep...
I'm currently in the beloved Pre-RASP. Nothing too interesting happens here. I've been using this time to conduct extra PT with a few other mentees, namely smsst14, Giant and woody. I've been fortunate enough to be surrounded by other motivated mentees who are willing to put in the extra work it's going to take to be successful. We push each other during our workouts and keep each other sane during the work days. Pre rasp isn't as bad as some make it out to be as long as you stay motivated and surround yourself with good people. We are looking at classing up in the next two weeks and possibly graduating before Christmas. That's it for now, more to follow later.

Re: SITREP- Gerrick
Finishing before Christmas is a plus. The Christmas break is a real ball-buster. I was in OCS and we had a Christmas break. First day we had a 5-mile death run on the Airborne track. I made it, but it was painful. Never, never quit!

Re: SITREP- Gerrick
We haven't heard too much, Ranger Jim. The newest info we've been given is that we'll be taking a PT test next week. Since that's next week I expect for us to be classing up no longer than a week after that.

Ranger Jim,
We finally have a set start date. We will begin rasp on the 17th of this month. It's about a week away and I can confidently say that myself and the other mentees are prepared and ready to go.
