Try to stay at Fort Benning, that makes it convenient. Never, never quit!

Roger Ranger Jim. I've been told that as of lately, the majority of 11B's are beig stationed in either Ft. Richardson, Ft.Bragg, or Camp Ederle.

Rangers,

I have some great news. As I was starting the day with details, my class leader informed me that I will be returning back to pre-RASP and will be classing up in August. I can't even describe the feeling that I am undergoing at the moment. This is definitely the best moment of my life so far. Words can't even explain how thankful I am for this second chance. Rangers, I will not give up this opportunity!

Roger Ranger ZoneIV. That feeling of rejection and failure is something that I do not want to go back to. This is definitely more encouragement and motivation to earning a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Quick SITREP,

Pre-RASP has been going great. The PT isn't too bad if you already showed up in good shape. Monday we did resilience training with a former Navy SEAL and a civilian psychologist that RSTC hired to help train pre-RASP. They taught us different techniques to stay focused on completing a task at hand while under large amounts of stress. I found it very interesting. Then they had us perform multiple physical exercises to wear us out and gave us some objectives to complete after we were pretty exhausted (such as threading a needle). It was quite fun. Most of the other days we spend running in the mornings for pretty decent lengths (anywhere from 3-6 miles so it isn't bad at all). I can see why they are running us so much though, because I have been told we will get team 1 for RASP and I hear that they are heavily focusing on running which is fine with me. Every now and then we do push up and sit up improvement but not too often. I still have to make daily trips over to Smith Gym to get in extra PT. Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to be placed on a 24 hour detail over at Cole Range to help out the cadre run RASP 2. I got some very good insight on what to expect and I even saw RASP 1 out there as well from time to time. One guy from my company back on Sand Hill has successfully completed Cole Range this week and I couldn't be more proud of him. He has a great future ahead of him and seeing him complete Cole Range has fueled me and has motivated me even more. I have been told that we are classing up on the 19th of this month and I can't even describe how ready I am to get to RASP. I also have been getting in contact with kensongakusei and plan to link up with him once he reports to pre-RASP on Tuesday. We will definitely be doing some extra PT together to help each other prepare for RASP. I am glad to know that I will be classing up with another mentee on this board. That's all I have for now. I will post SITREPS as we get closer to classing up. Rangers and mentees, have a great 4th!

Ranger Jim,

The 4th definitely went by fast. Now it's game time again. My pull-ups have increased slightly since I first got here. They make it a rule that we have to do a minimum of six pull-ups every time we enter the barracks (which I think is a great idea. Unfortunately a lot of guys cheat themselves and don't even do them). I can tell that my running time is going to be much faster than my previous PT test and I've also noticed that my overall endurance/stamina has built up a lot. That's what we have mainly been doing is running with some push-up and sit up improvement drills in between. I've enjoyed it a lot so far. The PT here is much better than what we did in OSUT and Airborne. Mentees, if you are reading this, make sure you perfect the Ranger Creed and know the pauses in each of the six stanzas. We got scuffed up for a while today because some of the guys who never study the Ranger Creed were called on after our morning PT. Also, learn everything about your Airborne Ranger in the Sky. Know every little detail that you can about him. There's a great site called, leadthewayfund.org where you can choose a fallen Airborne Ranger. You can and will be tested on him.

I'm comfortable with you being where you are. What I want you to do is post a letter from school for the current mentees. You will be attending a tough RASP, because of the Ranger get together. Never, never quit!

Rangers,

Just a brief SITREP. I finally in processed at RASP yesterday and an currently awaiting for day 1 to start this Monday. I can't believe I am finally about to take step in my last event of my training pipeline to earning my place in the 75th Ranger Regiment. Yesterday was not bad at all. We woke up very early, cleaned the pre-RASP barracks, formed up downstairs with our RIF and CIF items, did a quick layout, and shortly after, ran over to RASP. The day consisted of a lot of time hacks and getting dropped in the front leaning rest. Other than that, we basically stood around in formation for hours and were issued our bunks and got released around 1600. Not bad at all. It's a great feeling to finally be here and I can't even explain how ready I am to start this. I've been hearing that the first week will consist of morning PT, a diagnostic 5 mile run, a 6 mile ruck march, and a lot of classes on land nav and weapons familiarization. I have also been lucky enough to meet up with kensongakusei which has been awesome. Glad that I am going through RASP with a fellow mentee of this site. We are both very stoked for the next eight weeks that lie ahead. Rangers, I will post a SITREP from now on after every week finishes. Time to do this!
