SITREP
Rangers,
Currently have 4 and a half weeks left of 68W school left. I was worried about how hard the course might be when I first started, but I put those thoughts away and gave it my all. Passed the emt side and passed my nremt-b exam the first time. Pt is relatively weak here at Ft. Sam, but when we got phase 5, the people who got 270 and above get to do pt in the morning on their own. Graduate apr. 23rd and move onto airborne school almost immediately, and that's followed by almost 2 months of RIP hold.

Do just like Ranger RTO says. PT your ass off as much as you can. Screw getting fucked up on the weekends with the losers in AIT. Concentrate on your goal which is to pass RIP. You can party like a rock star every weekend in BN once you pass RIP. Good luck, stay focused and don't let Big Sarge put bullshit ideas in your head.RTO wrote:Awesome. Stay the course and go the distance. Do all the extra PT you can now. And of course, never, never quit.

Do NOT waste the time you have. Most Medics fail the RIP PT test. Good luck young warrior!Ranger Bill wrote:Good SITREP. Stay focussed on your goals, work on PT and keep us posted on your progress..

Update:
Rangers,
Graduated airborne school, and went on to RIP hold. Passed the PT test yesterday and met the standards to get out of RIP also. Looking "forward" to starting RIP, getting through the suck and earning my scroll and beret. 1SG gave a good, motivating speech to all of us Rippies about quitting and just, not over thinking it. "Don't think about it, just do it."

Congratulations Airborne.
When you come to a 'fork' in the road at RIP, (and you will, there might be several of them) always take the path that leads to one of the Ranger Bn's.

Do not let the quitters get you down. You have come too far to let anything get in the way of your goal. Every time you see a man quit, use that to make you become even more determined.

If they didn't allow people the opportunity to quit, everyone could make it through RIP. Stay focused. You are this close to having one of the best jobs in the Army, let alone as a medic. Just a few more short weeks and you will see what I mean. Good job so far! Show those fuckers that all medics aren't soft as shit.
