Starting RIP Now!

Post by phawk711 »

It's been awhile since I last posted, but I've just been waiting around in RIP hold, so not much happening. On Friday just less than 300 or so men took the PT test to make it to this next class. Only 150 of us made it. I'm so glad I'm not in hold anymore! There have been about 8 or 9 already dropped and I imagine many more to come this week. It's going to be tough, especially since my legs and shins have been killing me the past few weeks, but I'm still not quiting! I'll let everyone know in about 4 weeks or so how the tan beret looks on my bald head

First week over! It's been a pretty crazy first week. Super hot down here so not quite as bad as it could be! My weekend will be full of writing and studying...same as last week. I will call you this weekend Ranger Har, hopefully tonight. I also turned 22 during the first week of RIP. I have to say it was the best birthday ever! :? Ranger Rnuovrcj5, we only walked once, we doulble time now =) How's it going in Batt? I can't wait to find myself in your position.

I look forward to your call. Drive on. If you run out of time, I understand but make sure you call your family first.

Never quit, if you do the, physical pain will go away the second you say it.
But the pain in your soul will be with you forever. You always have that little bit more in you.

At least that is what got me through and still does in life.

But what do I know??

Second week over! And now I know what Cole Range is all about :? We've dropped pretty dramatically in numbers and after the re-tests this Monday we will lose a lot more. Thankfully, I'm not sure how, but I passed all my tests the first time. We have our 12 miler tomorrow and I'm pretty excited about that. Only 2 more weeks left and still never quiting...that'd be just about ridiculous right now.

Great news! Be sure and hydrate today. You might want to get a lot of carbs down, too. Good luck on that road march. Get into the rhythm, and drown out everything else. No sweat. Thanks for the update.

So what do you want a Tan or black? Drive on Paul and thanks for the phone call today. Don't forget this week you get the good stuff and then your parents will drive down and be as proud as I am. You have done great and like I told you today your attitude is what I like to hear. Thanks for the update and let me know how that trick works out with your socks.
