18x/DEP Question

Post by Table of Elements Skater »

If your a DEP with an 18x contract, does your time in the DEP still gain you rank and count as time in the army? I know that if your 18x you enlist for 5 years and that your E5 after completion of the pipeline. Right?

Thanks

If you want me to take this question somewhere else because it doesnt pertain to Option40, I fully understand.

DEP time doesent count towards your 5 years, but counts towards your IRR time.

I can think of about a dozen things that you should be asking and this isnt one of em...

Good luck anyways..

good answer, Phulano.

still waiting on my SITREP, by the way.

DEP time used to count for pay, as many Vets on this site are aware.

THAT IS NO LONGER THE CASE.

Thanks Phulano & SFC Hit_it. Phulano, Have most of the guys you have been with quit or been performance dropped? Ive read that if you stick with it and do your personal best(within reason) your good to go. True?

I just wasnt sure, because your time in dep, if your Option40, counts. At least that what my recruiter told me. Hows the Q Course going Leatherneck?

You know TOES, you have a habit of asking advice as if you're bumming a fuckin' cigarette.
I beginning to get a visual of counseling some shithead that's slouched down in his seat with his chin on his fucking chest.
