Surviving the Cut - Discovery Channel

Post by NC Ranger dad »

Wednesday, 18Aug2010 at 2200hrs, Discovery Channel will air new series called "Surviving the Cut".

Included in that series will be coverage of Ranger School. Additional information and teaser clips available at http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/surviving-the-cut/

I believe this coverage is from recent R/S classes as my son (class 06-10) saw the film crews while he was in Florida Phase. This may be a nice edition to the R/S series available on youtube and referenced in this section of the Forum. It should also provide a great opportunity to play "There's Waldo" as various R/S students and RIs appear during the program.

The goal of one’s journey through life should not be to travel carefully so as to arrive at The End in a well preserved body. Rather, one should live Boldly and strive to skid-in sideways, smiling but completely worn out, while shouting, “WHEW … That was a HELLUVA Ride !!”

I thought it was an excellent program. I had been wrestling with the idea of going to Ranger School, but that show pushed the idea into motivation and inspiration. Now I'm training and studying my ass off (I'm a signal support guy in group, I need to study)
