If he volunteers from a unit and attends school, he will return to that unit.
tlane78 wrote:+Is there a chance he will be sent to another unit (ranger oriented)?
I can imagine the number of Ranger qualified Ordinance offiers is fairly low, but he would be assigned normally unless he volunteers to do otherwise
tlane78 wrote: +Could his branch change?
Not unless he has been branch detailed.
tlane78 wrote:+Is he more deployabe?
No more than the unit he is assigned to
tlane78 wrote: +Is there more field time?
See above
tlane78 wrote:+As an ordnace ranger officer, what will he do?
The same thing he is doing now.
tlane78 wrote:+Will he have to sign a contract, reenlist, or have more time in service?
Normally units require 1-year retainability in order to attend Ranger school, so as long as he has that then the answer is no.

Officers do not re-enlist.

Or re-officerate, for that matter.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Yeah, I know-
Just a little random browsing on my part. I haven't been here all that much in the past year.

I was just a little surprised to see an officer asking about officers re-enlisting, that's all.
