Texas Military Family Access Project (TMFAP)
“Help for Texans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan”

Who is eligible for TMFAP services?
- Military service members who have deployed to Afghanistan & Iraq, i.e.,
- Active duty Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines & Coast Guard.
- Texas Military Forces including the Texas Army & Air National Guard.
- Reserve Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard forces.
- Veterans and retirees.

- Family members of those who have served in Afghanistan and Iraq, i.e.,
- Children, current, surviving and ex-spouses, and significant others.
- Family members serving as care providers.

What type of help is available through TMFAP? Financial assistance (rent, utility, mortgage) food, transportation, marital problems, anger management, depression and anxiety, child care, legal services, medical care, drug and alcohol treatment, post-traumatic (PTSD), home modifications for recovering Wounded Warriors, and other services unique to military deployment.

How does TMFAP Help? Uses handpicked, trained military call specialists (spouses, veterans, and retirees) to link eligible military members/family members to earmarked community resources. (Note: After providing referrals, the military call specialists normally follows-up within 48-72 hours to insure help is received.)

Is TMFAP help confidential? It is confidential, free. And on-going

What should I tell my eligible customers who want to contact TMFAP?
They can get help from TMFAP by using either Option 1 or 2 below.

Option #1: Call 2-1-1 Texas wide or 210-352-7045 in San Antonio
- Identify themselves as having served in Iraq or Afghanistan or a family member of someone who has served.
- Ask for a military call specialist or a transfer to the San Antonio 2-1-1.

God Bless Texas and all who live there! My only hope for those veterans who need help: That they have the ability to find the help and that they are willing to accept the help. Those are difficult nuts to crack...
