% increase timeframe

Post by Looon »

3 months ago, I had an MRI done on my spine for the first time. The results said I had all sorts of shit wrong with the upper part of my back.

Arthritis
Degenerative disk disease
Bulging disks
Compressed fracture

Anyway, I called the American legion to have them represent me on my next increase. That was about 2 months ago. I called them yesterday for an update. I was told that it would take about a yr for the process to run it's course.

All of my other increases didnt' take a year. My first increase took only a couple of months total, and I didn't even ask for it. WTF?

My increase took 6 months. That was over a year ago. The backlog of cases might have something to do with it, but I think they were lowballing the numbers to protect themselves.

I read, once, that there was a timeline that had to be adhered to. Maybe someone else knows more.

The VA has a year to process your request for increase from the date it was submitted.

They are extreamly backlogged right now, and it can take up to 18 months, but at least they gave themselves bonuses.
