Airborne graduation question

Post by RFS130Z »

Rangers,

My family couldn't make it to my OSUT graduation so they would like to try to come for my Airborne graduation. They were wondering if I would have the weekend off before RIP, it doesn't much matter to me but they need to know for flight scheduling purposes. After reading some recent threads it seems that some people get the weekend off, but I haven't found a definite answer.

Thank you for your help

Hi, You better do some checking and try and find out for sure. Hate to see your famil come down and you not be able to spend tie with them,. Recently option 40 soldiers at Jump were told that the RI's would pick them up Monday morning after graduation not the usual Friday after graduation time. Well graduation came and 5 minutes after, on Friday, the RI's came and picked them up. No weekend off. Normal first weekend smoke session. Very likely your class will be the same. But do some checking and try and find out for sure, If they will tell you.

YOU GET THE WEEKEND OFF!!
I think I put that in a post earlier. I personally checked with the NCOIC that is in charge of picking you guys up and he said that you do get the weekend off. If you don't for some reason oh well, get over it. Tell you parents to save their money and come to your RIP graduation instead of Airborne school.

Thank you for your help Rangers. I told my parents not to bother staying the weekend just to be on the safe side, for the most part they just wanted to be here to pin my wings on anyways.

I hope it's not prophetic.
RFS are initials of his name and I, too, hope they are not prophetic.
