Thank you Ranger CharlieRanger1FFV. Roger Ranger Disinfertention, my mother cried in the recruiter's office. Big step for both the family and I. All the paperwork is squared away and all that's left is the ASVAB on Monday and background check. Very excited for the ASVAB as I scored very high on both online practice tests and the practice ASVAB I took the very first time at the recruiter. I am not going to let it get to my head though as I am still studying everyday for it.

If you are studying for it that is way more than I did! Make sure you do your best because it most definitely does matter.

I appreciate the kind words, Ranger Disinfertention. I am not sure what all the line score letters are for sure but my overall score was a 94, and my GT score was 125. I qualified for every job in the military, not just the Army. I head to MEPS within the next few weeks, I will update all the Rangers with anything new that occurs within that time.

Roger Ranger Disinfertention. I achieved my first 300 on the APFT today, so that combined with my ASVAB scores puts me right at the level I want to be at. Now there is nowhere to go but up and I can’t wait for my life to truly get started. Ready to crush anything and everything.

Quick update, I was told by my recruiter that I leave for MEPS 20180131

Do not settle for anything except what YOU want when you go to MEPS. There is a good chance they will get mean if you don't take what is available for jobs when you get there. Hold your ground, tell them this is your career you are choosing, and you want to wait. If your job and OPT 40 isn't there.

DO NOT settle for anything except an OPT 40. Pick whatever job you want, but if you don't get an OPT 40 it's your fault for not being patient. No sign up and change it later. No sign up and hope for it in OSUT. Get it when you sign and you'll be fine.
