Is that your first 5 mile time? Looks fairly decent. How did you execute each event? Did you do them all back to back?

That is not my first 5 mile time, but it is my best time so far. I executed the events by doing pushups first, then situps, then the 2 mile run, and on the conclusion of the run, I did my pullups. I did my 5 mile the day before, otherwise all back to back. Always room for improvement, I want to get my times down and my other numbers up.

Nico - I asked because you should try to take about a 10 minute break between each event for the APFT. It should give you a better measure of your "fitness" according to the test. Good choice to take a day between APFT events and the 5 miler. Next time you do it I'd keep them a couple days apart. You may do them one after the other in RASP, I don't know anymore, but no reason to over train yourself.

My recruiter just texted me saying that he has an 11x Option 40 available and to come in after school. The journey has begun.

Rangers, my most recent APFT scores sucked. I realized my form wasn't perfect (chest touching the ground, fully extended) for push-ups, and I read on the forums about sit-ups that didn't count because he didn't go up until he couldn't go up any more. Lack of attention to detail. Dropping down and doing 30+1.

Push-ups: 58
Sit-ups: 73
2-mile: 12:24
Pull-ups: 12

Quite a bit of room for improvement.

It's been a while since the last post on here, but I am finally in the double digits on days till I leave. 99 days, 98 if you include the trip to MEPS. The date is getting closer and closer and it is such a surreal feeling.

I recently graduated from high school and have 13 days before I head to Mother Benning. The last fews days of high school were very stressful because apparently you have to turn in assignments to pass a class...who would've thought. Anyways, my next target is OSUT and I am beyond ecstatic for it.
