Warren - There is an extended scale for the APFT. There is no such thing as capped. :)
Welcome to the site. Glad you found us. You have a great attitude and desire to be a leader but learn how to be a follower first. Even at 29, some of the younger kids you go to OSUT with are your peers for the most part. Use your life lessons to help but ultimately you are there to learn how to be a Private just like the rest of them. If there is a leadership role that needs to be filled, do that. But don't think you cannot learn from someone else either.
No doubt you know all this. Just take it with a grain of salt.
Have fun and please check in when you can. Keep us updated in the Letters from School forums when the time is right.

When you're done with Ranger Lunchs task, go read the site rules, regs and FAQ's as it's clear you have not done that yet. Age aside, you're still a newb and rules are rules for a reason.Lunch wrote:There is a Haitian proverb that says: "Behind the mountain, there are more mountains". Contemplate this and share your interpretation of how this saying might apply to you.

Mitchell, Who was grading this uncapped AFPT? Please add pull-ups.WarrenMiR wrote: Well... now that I know there is no cap... went ahead and did a repeat this morning.
Push Ups: 106
Sit Ups: 98
2 mile run: 13:24
If it's any relevancy, I'm 6'00" 210lbs.
And thanks for the valuable advice. It seems the higher I climb the mountain the more there is to learn. I'm grateful for the opportunity.
