Juan, If you truly want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right site. We at armyranger.com take a great deal of pride in the young men who pass through here on their life journey. Please tell us more about yourself. Where are you from and where did you go to school? Why do you want to be a Ranger? You have not established a PT baseline to build on, so we look forward ty your posting your APFT scores within the next 72 hours. Most of the questions you might have can be addressed by using the search feature, located on the top right of this page. Please read the FAQs, as well as select stickies and threads. I also have started rucking with a sturdy military assault pack with 30lbs starting off. I plan to get a good Alice pack with a frame and start moving some real weight. Unfortunately Florida is so flat so I have no real hilly terrain to cover. Not sure also if you wanted to glimpse my routine so here it is

Monday:
Deadlift
Leg raises
Pull-ups
Chin-ups
Bent over BB row.
Farmers walks
Kettle bell One arm press
Bike 20 min

Tuesday:
Start running 2 miles and slowly improve
Push-ups
Sit-ups

Wendsday:
Bench press
Military press
Push-ups
Kettle bell swing
Lunges
Dips
Triceps overhead press

Thursday:
Ruck 30lbs 4 miles up and back
Sit-ups
Friday : rest

Saturday :
Squat
Pull-ups
Box jumps
Push-ups
Sit-ups
Chin-ups
Flutter kicks
Incline db curl
Bike 30 min
Sunday : run 2 miles for now

I don't think the program is adequate so if you would like to critique it then by all means do so I will gladly go with any proven Rangers advice I have seen routines on here as well.

You wrote:

"2 mile run: not even able I (capitalized it for you) ran out of breath a 1/2 mile into the 2 miles."

We see, "I quit on my very first run."

Go back and do the entire PT test over, including the 2 mile run. You absolutely need to have a finish time so you can then work against it while you train and see your actual improvements.

Don't ever quit again. Walk, crawl or fucking levitate to the end, but don't ever quit or you'll be dropped on your very first day at RASP.

Give the heavy weights a break and start working on your cardio immediately. You admit that it's your weakest point, but post a work out that includes very minimal running.

You need to start running 6 days a week. Ranger Silverback has several very good threads in the Physical Fitness Forum on this site. Start by buying a GOOD pair of running shoes so your little girly feet don't get all banged up because you've never run even a half mile before. Long road ahead of you bud, may as well attack it now or just walk away from this and be a dental assistant.

Take a look at this post. Now go back and read what Ranger Jim and I have already stressed to you several times. You see where I'm going with this?

What did I say about how you represent yourself? You've left us with 3 things to choose after your first impression here.

1 Lazy

2 Smart like tractor

3 Just doesn't care enough to put forth the extra effort

So you tell us, which one is it?

Why should anyone here put forth any effort to help you when you either can't or won't follow simple instructions?

If you think I'm just being a dick you're wrong. I am actually trying to help you. When you're standing in front of a Drill Sergeant, and hopefully soon after that in front of RASP Cadre, they will fucking eat you alive if you're not either already fairly squared away or at least present as trainable.

Juan I posed four questions to you two days ago and haven't yet received a reply to them.

Have you already quit, again, simply because someone is now requiring that you actually put some effort into your own training?
