Welcome Sean, A man has only one opportunity to make a favorable initial impression. So far, you are not doing well. If you truly want to earn a place in the 75th Ranger Regiment, you came to the right site. We at armyranger.com take a great deal of pride in the young men who pass through here on their life journey. Please tell us more about yourself. How old are you? Where do you live? Why do you want to be a Ranger? Most of the questions you might have can be addressed by using the search feature, located on the top right of this page. Please read the FAQs, as well as select stickies and threads. Within the next 72 hours, please self-administer a PT test (to include pull-ups) and post your results on this thread. Never, never quit!

Sully2490 wrote:Thanks for the feedback Rangers, I'll post my APFT after school, I am 17 years old from NJ and I'm currently a junior. I want to be a Ranger because I want to be apart of a brotherhood and wanna be the best of the best. I want to serve my country in the best way I can and I want a challenge, I also want to be able to look to my left and to my right and know I can trust the guys next to me no matter what the circumstances are. Never quit!
If you had followed my instructions, you would have read the FAQ. It would have told you to capitalize the R in Ranger. Never, never quit!

Welcome. Pay close attention to detail here, this isn't your sisters FB page.

Wanting to be "apart" from something, is completely different than wanting to be "a part" of something. Details are very important to Rangers when sharing information and can help or hurt if they're not passed correctly.

Also, don't ever use "wanna be" here again. We understand you'd like a shot at the title, and if you follow instructions and learn, you may just earn a chance. But, there's a reason most asshats are referred to as "wannabe's". Don't be one of them.

Good luck young man. Two ears, two eyes, one mouth.

Your 72 hours have come and gone. In addition, you stated that you would post it the next day after school. Inattention to detail and failure to meet a suspense. I am disappointed.

I am also doing the push-up improvement that is in another thread. Aswell as pyramids for sit ups, push-ups, pull-ups, rucking, and throwing weightlifting in a couple days a week.
You have established a PT base-line to build on; lots of room for improvement. Two more lessons: 1) if you tell another Ranger you will complete a task by a specific date/time--do it on time. 2) when you are given a task with a date/time--complete it on time. In either case, if something comes up to change the situation--ensure that you explain to the chain of command what happened. Never, never quit!

I understand that to you young men this is just a beginning or a thought of what you want to be or do, but to us it's deadly serious. We have seen it and done it, some of these men for their entire adult lives, and we still have friends and brothers doing it now. You may be the young Ranger Private fighting next to our friends by next year, and we want to make sure you're squared away before that.

Please, don't take this for granted, man up, or step back. Someone's life will depend on it.
