Re: Introduction - Peter
You understand that your PT scores are less than even acceptable in OSUT. What are you doing now to prepare for RASP? You have very little time and need a LOT of work. Understand that if you don't make the cut at Pre-Rasp you'll be sent WW (WorldWide) for the needs of the army, meaning you'll more than likely be stationed in Korea or Germany for at least 2 yrs. How is your girl/wife going to handle that with a brand new baby?

Re: Introduction - Peter
Peter, what is your height/weight? You need to work on your PT, also.

Dude you scored an 88...Yggr wrote:Ranger Jim,
I am 6'2" and 196 lbs. I have some muscle mass from powerlifting, but the pt test doesn't test the squat or bench... I feel confident that I'll score much higher in two weeks.
Are you serious about enlisting in less than a month?

Re: Introduction - Peter
Welcome to the Site Peter. Unless you can dramatically improve your PT Scores you are setting yourself up for failure. I admire your desire to want to be a Ranger, but I would recommend preparing a little longer before attempting RASP. This is not a walk in the park, you will be tested in every way, especially physically. The stronger you are and the better/faster you can run, the better chance you'll have for making it. Give everything you've got, ever time you give and never, ever quit! RLTW

Re: Introduction - Peter
Everything you do from here on has got to be 100 percent focused on improving in every way, not just physical, but mental as well. When you think you can't take one more step, run one more mile, when you think you can't do one more push-up, do 10 more. Use your mind to push you body farther and farther each time. With the right mind set, you can do this. Give everything you've got, every time you give and NEVER, EVER QUIT. RLTW
