To answer your question George, yes throwing up is very normal. If you push yourself hard enough, you will throw up.
As to whether you should stop and slow down when you get this urge, is up too you. Just realize, that the harder you push yourself, the faster you will see the results.
Good job on changing your diet, that will also make a difference in your running.
