Re-Intro-Phil

Post by GreySpe95 »

Good evening Everyone, I have been a member of this site for a while now, and I have already posted an intro, but as I just swore in on Wednesday, I thought I should make a new intro.

I went to the MEPS two days ago and got my physical and Airborne physical completed, then I got my contract reserved and signed.
I was able to secure an 11xray Option 40 contract with a ship date of 20141014, and then I swore in.

I am currently working at a pharmacy, so until October comes all I will be doing is working out and saving up some cash.

I'm very proud to enter into the Army and become a part of a proud tradition of honor and discipline, and I look forward to giving everything I have to earn my Tab and Scroll.
I realize that the path ahead of me is long and difficult, but I am confident that I won't quit no matter the obstacles.

I would like to thank everyone for providing such a great resource with so much information.

I am currently working to improve my pushup, situp, and pullup scores, as well as doing a good amount of distance running and rucking.

Once I get a few paychecks I'm going to also try and add swimming and more lifting to my routine as well.

Current APFT score: 276/300

Working on getting pushups to 100, Situps to AT LEAST 80, pullups to twenty, and two mile run back to 12:30.

Rucking is already in my routine, and swimming will be added soon hopefully.

Thank you

OK, you finally have a solid PT Baseline. BTW you have been here more than two years and this is the first time you completed a PT test. Rucking is, I think, over-rated. Ensure you can drown-proof (don't try this alone). Never, never quit.

Roger Ranger Jim.

What was incorrect with my PT tests from 20130126?

"January 26th, 2013, 3:41 pm: Update on the APFT scores, Pushups: 54 in 2 minutes (increased by 11), Situps: 64 in 2 minutes (increase by 14) Going to my school's track to get a 2 mile run timed."
"January 27th, 2013, 11:55 am Good evening, two mile run was pretty decent, 12:33 on my high school track. My goal is 12 flat"

Please let me know if something was wrong with those so that I don't repeat any mistakes in the future

Thank you

All the PT tasks are to be accomplished in one session. Those were done over two days. What is the proper sequence? Don't thank me for doing my job.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post, feel free to admonish me as necessary.

Graduated OSUT on February 13, got med recycled from C co 1/507, now I'm back on tower week, should finish all my jumps and get my wings next Friday, then begin Pre-RASP the following Tuesday.

Sorry for the lack of updates everyone.
