Introduction-Dylan

Post by Dylan1995 »

Hello everyone! My name is Dylan, I am 18 years old and a senior. I live in Des Moines Iowa. I ship out 11X opt. 40 Sept. 15, 2014. I've wanted to be a Ranger for a very long time. It's the only thing I think of. Being apart of the best light infantry unit in the world. Being apart of a brotherhood. Living up to the Ranger creed. I am very excited for this. I still have awhile before I ship but I have been hitting PT hard. Rucking, pushups, situps, pullups, etc. I have done a PT test.
Pushups: 60
Situps:75
Pullups: 15
2 mile run: 14:30
Not the best scores but I have been seeing improvement everyday. I still have a little over 6 months before i ship as well.
Thank you
-Dylan

Dylan, welcome here. It is along time between now and your ship date. Keep in mind that if you get into trouble your Option 40 will disappear. Keep your nose clean and do PT.

Hello Rangers, and everyone else. I ship to Benning on Monday. Extremely excited as I have been waiting since October.

To all of you in DEP (future soldier program) with an 11x Option 40/ Option 4/ or any other contract, STAY OUT OF TROUBLE. I cannot stress this enough. A couple guys through my recruiting station had their contracts taken from them for getting in trouble with the police. Also PT! A kid got dropped for PT standards in DEP.. Very sad because the standards are so easy.

Rangers, I cannot thank you all enough for offering your knowledge and advice on this site. All the questions I've had were already answered on this site. I will be posting a SITREP upon completion of OSUT.
