Rangers, I have come to my final post.

Due to...religious reasons, I have decided not to enlist at this point in my life. Instead I will move forward into the Fire Service. The military is a possibility in the future, but not right now.

I thank all of you for the information you have given me, and greatly appreciate all of it.

Have a nice night, gentlemen.

Better to drop out now, before you waste a contract that someone else needs.

So,

Let me get this straight. Sometime between the 7th of this month and now, all of a sudden, religious reasons are why you're backing out?

I sincerely hope that now you've decided to become a 1st Responder, you don't get something else, in the middle of pulling someone from a burning building, and decide to leave them there, as you come up with another weak reason for doing so.

You quit, that's exactly what this is.

Rangerin' ain't for everyone, we all know that. We also know that not everyone can do it even if they really wanted to, but using religion just out of the blue and stating that it's your last post (I'll allege simply so that you don't have to answer any questions about your quitting) is pretty goddamn lame.

These men spent their personal time and effort trying to advise you and guide you, a complete stranger to them. Yet all your "I'll never quit!" and "Nothing will stand in my way!" bravado was all for nothing.

This is how you return that favor to them? Pretty poorly done young man. I wouldn't want you on my team.

By the way, God also knows you used Him as an excuse now, how's that for religious irony.

Roger Ranger cams.

If I may, when I mentioned "religious reasons" I had no intention of holding my religion or God himself to blame for my actions. This was solely my decision and I standby that. Possibly the worst decision of my life. Possibly not. Whatever the outcome may be, it's mine to bare. Excuses are for the cowardly, and I've made that mistake too many times. I quit, I'm weak. I wasted my time and all of yours, who took the time to advise me, and I let all of you down. For that I am truly sorry.

He quit. I'm locking this thread for 18 (+/-) hrs. Unless a Ranger gives me a good reason to unlock and not ban Nick/wrestler_1. Send via PM.

UPDATE: No favorable response from Rangers regarding candidate. Ban enacted, thread remains locked.
