Welcome Zach, from here on out you need to make sure that in everything you do, you give 110% effort. Get used to it, if you want to be the best, you've got to start thinking and living like the best. Memorize the Ranger Creed, start living by it. It's a tough road ahead of you, but not an impossible road. Give everything you've got, every time you give and never, ever quit! RLTW

The proper response is: Roger, Ranger Steadfast.
Nothing more and nothing less except if asked.
No response necessary.

Zach, Have you given any thought to what MOS you want to train for? Have you talked to an Army recruiter? Never, never quit!

As of right now I would like to be an 11X. I have not yet talked to a recruiter, mostly because I still have a whole year of high school left and my parents have said they will not co-sign a contract when I am 17. They support my decision it is just that they want me to wait until I am 18. I guess I should still go see a recruiter soon and get the conversation going though, since it would be a while anyways until I get the contract I want and eventually sign.

For now I am trying to improve my PT scores and get into the best shape possible. I took an online practice ASVAB and got a 90% so I am not too worried about that. Any advice on whether or not I should talk to a recruiter this early would be much appreciated.
It might be worth your time to visit a recruiter and get an idea what is available to you. Please post a PT score every two or three weeks. I know you do PT daily, but if you test every couple weeks, you can better judge your progress. Never, never quit!
