At my discretion? Learning from a Ranger is usually an experience for a young man like yourself. Consider yourself fortunate. You now have earned an opportunity through ROTC. Don't waste it. Never, never quit!

Oh.. and the one time my partner and I had come back to our vehicle after carrying 6x6x4's down a trail all day, to find we no longer had the giant toolbox with a thousand dollars or more worth of tools in it . My partner instantly freaked out and thought we had been robbed and was hysterical. We routinely would leave our wallets and cell phones in the vehicle as we would not have reception down the trails anyways, and both of those items were still in the vehicle, so I started getting suspicious that someone was playing a joke on us  rather than robbed us. Sure enough after the hour and a half drive back to HQs, Ranger Lunch was waiting for us with a smile from ear to ear, waiting for the moment to ask us "Hey there, so uh where's your tools? " All in all I would have to say it had been one of the best summers of my life and I learned a substantial amount of information, it was also pretty sweet getting to follow around a High-Speed Badass such as Ranger Lunch.

Very Respectfully,

-C
Great SITREP. Glad to hear all your hard work is paying off.

You're lucky Lunch didn't make you dummy cord all those tools to your ass with 550 cord.

Lunch you getting soft brother?

Completed LDAC at Ft. Knox, KY and Aviation CTLT at Ft. Bliss, TX this summer; earned as many points as I could at LDAC and enjoyed living in the desert after that.

I came into my Senior year rather ecstatic as I had almost max points for the OML and was sitting in a great position to get my first branch selection(MI). ROTC is now being overhauled and what I will be assessed on (this year); has some notable changes that now leaves me somewhat uncertain to my standing. A few notable changes for anyone interested are: reduction in weight of GPA from 40% to 25%, incorporating the use of standardized tests(3) that account for 16%, and completely eliminating the competitive aspect of LDAC, among other things.

I was also fortunate enough to meet a 1LT(P) who is currently an MI type in RSTB and was more than helpful in answering any questions I had; branching straight MI and following the pipeline into the 75th is my 2-3 year goal. My alternate and contingency branches for my accessions packet are Cyber and Infantry respectively.

I am now under a year to my commissioning (DEC 15'), and am excited to serve to the best of my ability, in whatever branch the Army decides to slot me in.

V/R.

Excellent SITREP!
a. Ensure you get a shot at Ranger School. As an MI officer, you will be amazed how much a Ranger Tab will improve your stature.
b. Try to get a rifle platoon.
c. Hope it has been an enjoyable three year experience here at armyranger.com.
