Roger Ranger Jim,

After a couple of weeks of bothering the recruiters about an 11X option 40 contract I was unable to recieve Airborne School and RASP in my enlistment contract. This is due to a lack of an actual MEPS with whatever is necessary to perform an airborne physical where I live.(which still seems sketchy to me.)
I am disappointed to report that I eventually settled for a regular 11X contract. My ship date is 20150908 to Ft. Benning for OSUT. I am going to adapt and overcome the obstacles placed before me, I will never give up on my goal. This is an opportunity for me to turn my preparation up a couple notches and EARN my spot in Airborne School and RASP. I plan to volunteer for both immediately when/if the opportunity presents itself in OSUT. I know that nothing is a guarantee at this point but that will not stop me from giving my 110%. From now until I leave my mind is set on training and nothing else.

Understand your frustration. Please read the letters from school thread, you will note that several of our future soldiers obtained airborne and RASP in OSUT. Please open your own SITREP when you ship to OSUT. Please keep us up to date as you continue to prepare yourself for training. Never, never quit!

I did some back checking & everything the Rangers have said to you is solid advice. That civilian intruder BillyBob was just trying to sound like he had good advice for you but after Ranger cams told him to stay in his lane, Ranger cams was correct & that were BillyBobs third and final post as never came back & dropped off the site.
You Mungi671 keep coming back, never, never quit. You can & will attain your goal.

Results of a self-administered APFT conducted on 20150811
2 Minute Pushups - 98
2 Minute Sit ups - 73
2 Mile Run - 13:10
Pull Ups - 16
289/300
I have 4 weeks left to prepare before I ship to BCT. Working on those last couple of points for a 300 score.
I'm going to get that Airborne and RASP slot if it kills me!
