QuikClot Sources

Post by al_2ndWolfhounds »

I am looking for a good source of QuickClot products; any suggestions? Also which might be the best to keep on hand; 2"x2", 4"x4", combat gauze roll, trauma pack or all of the above?

North American Rescue is where I get all my supplies. They don't have quick clot, but they have several hemostatic bandages and other supplies.

If you were in NC I would be more than happy to donate a large supply for a case of beer or some other fine beverage. The newest thing is the Quick Clot Combat Gauze. It has the same clotting factor as all the previous hemostatic agents, but without the heat that tends to damage the tissue surrounding the wound. I would only suggest using it in extreme situations, good old sterile gauze pads or rolls and direct pressure always do the trick for me.

Quick clot combat gauze is definitely the way to go but like was already said, nothing beats a roll of properly packed kerlex!
