Your answer lies in Army Regulation 40-501, Medical Fitness Standards (sec. 2-39) Google it. I have given my opinion on medical waivers, ad nauseum.

So that leaves me with the conclusion that my allergy to pollen must be controlled by oral medication, which it is. Would you say I have the green light? Any other info is always greatly appreciated. /Thanks
I don't say if you have the green light, the MD at MEPS is the one who does. I can just show you the criteria he will be using. I've seen people get turned down for bad acne. [edited to add] It depends upon what the MD will call your condition. If you look a little further you will find;

"g. Current chronic sinusitis (473) or current acute sinusitis (461.9) does not meet the standard. Such conditions exist when evidenced by purulent nasal discharge, hyperplasic changes of nasal tissue, symptoms requiring frequent medical attention, or x-ray."

If you have seasonal allergies, I'm pretty sure you are OK. Trust me you won't have any cats, dogs, or dust mites to worry about in basic and AIT. Have you ever seen that movie "Casino"? If you show up to the reception center with a bag full of meds for seasonal allergies you will get the same reaction that Joe Pesci gave the card dealer when he was playing blackjack. Quit worrying about it. I Took care of a guy who had the worst pollen allergy you can imagine. He's allergic to literally everything they test for. Eats claritin like M&M's..

Joe Pesci is the short Italian guy with the toothpick. He will represent your drill sergeant. You are the short fat card dealer. The cards are your meds and waivers and whatever else you think is important. Enjoy.

(BTW, great movie. You should rent it.)

I understand you are defending your Ranger friends but you do not decide if I will be DQ'd from the Military, the MEPs doctor does.
Actually sport, that comment couldn't be any further from the truth. While the MEPS doctor may decide your enlistment fate, men like Ranger Zonk 1/75 will decide whether or not you remain in the military. Given your present attitude and inability to follow simple instructions, I'm pretty sure that would be an easy decision for those men to make.

Minnesota,

2 week suspension.

Jokes on you. We misspell certain items to pay homage to each other. We try to have fun.
After all, this is our site.

It is not our fault you have a allergy that could disqualify you from military service. This is where young men come for advice from our experts like Rangers goon175, Zonk 1/75, The Sleepy Doc and many more that give their time and words of wisdom.
See you in two weeks. If you don't change your attitude in future posts you will be flushed off our site.

hey junior. why don't you spend some time growing and maturing at your own rate, then see if you can't answer the questions you asked Zonk for yourself. maybe after you've spent some time as a leg, or chasing tips you'll get it. but right now, you're a failboat waiting to dock. prove us wrong.

and your perceptions of what is and isn't professionalism are a mute fucking point. you don't have any experience to judge the professionalism of a soldier, or the reasons for his actions. when you do figure out why he acted the way he did, you might be ready to succeed at RASP.

we don't care that you're in high school. this is a man's profession, a man's board, and you'll be held to our standards. you want a place in our Army, in our beloved Regiment? put your big boy pants on and man the fuck up. same for you staying here on this board.

til then, when you come back, STFU.

Hi guys. In case someone has issues with sinusitis this source will be useful for you. In many cases allergie can be caused by chronic sinusitis so do not hesitate with it's treatment.
