Ever wonder why?

Post by Jim »

Did you ever wonder why there are no dead penguins on the ice in Antarctica - where do they go?Wonder no more!!!

It's a known fact that the penguin is a very ritualistic bird which lives an extremely ordered and complex life. The penguin is very committed to its family and will mate for life, as well as maintaining a form of compassionate contact with its offspring throughout its life.

If a penguin is found dead on the ice surface, other members of the family and social circle have been known to dig holes in the ice, using their vestigial wings and beaks, until the hole is deep enough for the dead bird to be rolled into and buried.

The male penguins then gather in a circle around the fresh grave and sing:

"Freeze a jolly good fellow..."

Then they kick him in the ice hole.

I actually laughed out loud on that one!

In fact, I'm still snickering. Good one.

This joke is similar to another...

You know how to catch an elephant, don't you?

Elephants love peas and their sight is not so good, so you dig a BIG hole and fill it with ash so he can't see it, and put a circle of peas around the hole... that way when the elephant stops to take a pea,

you can kick him in the ash hole.

Well, Im sober and I have a question. Wouldnt that be an awefully big hole? Is it approved by OSHA to do this to the elephant? Would the elephant be injured as a result? Wouldnt that be wasteful of pea's? Will a counsilor and vet be on hand to treat the mentally and physically damaged elephant? Isnt this a terribly cruel method of catching an elephant? What would you do with the elephant once you caught him. Wouldnt it be more effective to shoot the fucking elephant with a Bushmaster Cannon with HE rounds?
