Intro-- Ricky " Pretzel "

Post by Pretzel1010 »

Hello, my name is Rick. The nickname is " pretzel" because of my strange German last name. I am currently with RSTB in the Pre-SOCM program. I joined the Army 02July13 and have been in the Army for almost a year now. I am aspiring to be a SOCM qualified Ranger medic.

Please tell us more about yourself. Where are you located at the moment? Benning or Bragg?

Ranger Jim, one of the SPC here at Pre-SOCM that is in charge of us pre-socms had brought up this site because the author of the SOCM post in " letters from school" is his Ranger buddy. I also had previously read that thread about 3 times back in Airborne school but never registered for the website because I wasn't a Ranger at the time. After completing RASP and moving into Pre-SOCM I decided it was time to join this forum.

Any time is a good time to join the forum, but no matter, you are here now. Lots of good shit here. We have been lucky and had quite a few new members make it through the pipeline to become Regimental Medics. Lucky for you, my friend no longer teaches at the schoolhouse, so no extra-curricular Pt for you.

However, you need to knock out 52+1, just for general purposes. Also, because we are approaching the anniversary of the downing of Turbine 33. Your job is to figure out why this is significant specifically to you, and then report back what you found.

Welcome aboard! I figured with a name like Pretzel, you'd be a wrestler or something.

Good luck to you!
