As far as I am aware after RASP I am required to attend the SOCOM course. Im not sure if thats the same as the course you are refering to I did some quick searches that did not yield many results so im not sure. I can tell you that I am willing and eager to get my hands on whatever training may be available to me though.

It has been an anxious wait to this point and I am sure my recruiter is getting tired of me nagging but I did get an update today that my packet was approved at another level by the Subject Matter Expert for my MOS (where it was delayed at for about a month) and is now on its way to the Regimental and Batallion CSM's. He tells me once they have reviewed my packet and found an assignment for me the packet will get sent to HRC for school dates.

I got an E-mail a few days ago that reads "Congratulations! Your application has been screened and you have been approved for hire and attending the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP). Your orders and assignment are currently being processed at HRC and can take anywhere from four to six weeks before they are complete so please be patient." This is great new for me! I will post again when I get school dates.

Congratulations on being approved for RASP, your perseverance has paid off so far. PT 'till you puke, 'till you leave. As long as you remember the secret to training you'll make it. What is the secret you ask? DON'T QUIT!!!!!! No matter what, no matter how, no matter why, DON'T QUIT! It is as simple and as hard as that. You've got to want it, and if you want it bad enough, you'll get it, cause you won't quit. Keep us posted. RLTW

That's great news, remember, keep your eyes on the prize. Don't slack or ease up in Airborne School, it's easy to do. You'll have free time, spend it doing something besides getting drunk and partying. That's where guys get in trouble. If you want to make it to regiment, keep your nose clean in Airborne school. The runs will be slow and the PT easy. Don't let up, Ranger Up All The Way! RLTW
