Intro - Mike

Post by djpata1 »

Rangers,

My name is Mike and I currently serve in an Infantry unit in 3rd ID. I am on assignment for RASP waiting for my date currently. Im 24 years old and have had 1 combat deployment as a 249, 240 gunner in Panjwai, Afghanistan. I wanted to introduce myself to the forum and say I am ecstatic to go to RASP and be a part of such a unique brotherhood!!!

RLTW!!

Welcome Mike, First thing to do is memorize the Ranger Creed and start living your life by it. Begin reading the letters from school thread where our mentees record their experiences in RASP. We take pride in the fine young men who pass through ArmyRanger.com on their life journey. Never, never quit!

RASP Guidance

Post by djpata1 »

Rangers,

Just got accepted to go to RASP! Excited about it because its what I have
wanted to do forever!
Currently an 11B in a Reg Army Unit. 1 combat deployment to Panjwai, I was
a 240/249 gunner.

Right now where I stand is 24 y/o 78 pu 80 su 1445 run. Just conducted a 6
mile ruck w 50 lbs. came in at 1hr 10 min. Ran a 4 mile last Monday came in
at 30 min. Just did a 5 mile this monday 39:30

Im slacking on the run. I want to be very comfortable going to RASP w the
run. What can i do to better prep myself for the run/improve my run??
Workouts?? Nutrition??

Also some tips on RASP would be greatful!! Failure is NOT an option with
me. I want to live and breathe the Ranger Creed. Any suggestions?

Rangers your help is GREATLY appreciated
RLTW!

Please spend some time in the section About RASP. It will be worthwhile for you. Also add pull-ups to your work-outs.
