Intro-Jim

Post by rudy55 »

Gents,

I've been lurking this site for years but never had the balls to register until I earned the Tab. Just graduated Friday morning with class 1-14. It's been a long grind but well worth the trip. I'm an NG IN Officer from Ohio. I failed WTC RTAC classes 4-11 and 5-11, then got called home by my unit to deploy to AFG. Got to spend two years as a PL, to include a MOB, an NTC rotation and then a 9 month deployment. I'm currently an XO. I was blessed with another opportunity to attend School after the deployment and went straight through RTAC Class 501-13 and RS Class 1-14.

I can't recommend RTAC enough! I'm honored to be here and am happy to answer any questions I can.

Rudy55, welcome to the site. Have you earned your CIB? What unit are you in?

Sometime in November 1966, the First Sergeant brought out the hot chow and presented us with our CIB. He brought a lot of the guys their Purple Hearts -- my first was in November 1967. Yeah, I know it was a long time ago.

Ranger Jim,

Proud to be in the company of men like yourself, and now prouder to be a member of the small fraternity I now find myself apart of.

We earn this. Regardless of the component, you need to take care of your soldiers. I spend a lot of time with the 56th Brigade, 28th ID.

Ranger Jim,

I attended WLC at FTIG in 2008. Does the 56th still have Strykers?
