Introduction

Post by art_vandelay »

Hello,

I'm a freshly commissioned 2LT (May) from an ROTC program, waiting to go to IBOLC in early 2013.

I'm excited to serve in the infantry and hopefully pass Ranger School. I'm on this forum to mainly lurk around for tips and advice, on RS in particular but also the infantry in general. I've started rucking in preparation for IBOLC, and while I'm relatively weak in that area I find achieving 300PT scores relatively easy because of my light frame (<150lb, 5'9). I have an excellent projected duty station.

I have a job working at a federal agency in DC until IBOLC begins; between work, studying for the LSAT (good for 5 years; who knows, maybe my knees will die and I'll have to go JAG?), and physical training I don't have much time for any intense hobbies. I'm a voracious reader.

Look forward to learning from all you Rangers.
