I am a proud Father of an awesome son. Keith is in week 10 of 11X OSUT. He will be going to ABN school after he graduates on 5 August. He doesn't have a option 40 contract but we have been in contact with the 75th regiment recruiters and they have assured me they will get the volunteer paper work to him so he can attend RASP. He is motivated and works out like a mother every day. He was even working out all weekend when we picked up up for the 36 hour pass last weekend. He scored over a 300 on his last APFT. I was not a Ranger my brother is and has been one of the big mentors in my son's life. Looking forward to asking you all questions and keeping you updated on Keith's progress.

Welcome, Proud Father , and thank you (& the Mother like whom he works hard) for raising a patriotic young man in whom I am certain you are justifiably proud.

Welcome Sir! Thank you for raising a motivated and patriotic young man.
Civilians, will never understand us. Our desire to be at the worst possible place at the exact wrong time because we hope to make a difference even if it costs us our lives, are incomprehensible to them. And yet it is so. Our prayer is not, please God, let it happen on my day off; but please God, don't let me screw this up.

Re: Intro
Thanks for the warm welcome. I will tell my brother about this site for sure. He went to Ranger school in 1995 and as far as I know he is the only enlisted soldier to win every award at graduation (I think it was like 4 different awards). He later served as a RI and a company 1SG in Dahlonega. He is currently a G3 SGM.

Re: Intro
I just heard from my son's OSUT company commander and he verified that Keith was able to meet with the recruiters from the regiment and was able to sign the volunteer paper work for RASP. I am so happy and proud of him. He has dedicated so much time since November to prepare for this he will never quit.
