Welcome to ArmyRanger.com Anne. Thanks for raising two warriors. Is you son a member here? If not, he should be.

I am the very proud mom of a highly motivated Ranger assigned to the 3/75 who graduated RIP in March 2009. His sister is also about to embark on an Army career, heading off to basic in September then to OCS at Fort Benning. My dad is a WWII vet, one uncle served in Vietnam, and another aboard the USS Forrestal during that time.

I have been reading through the forum for a few weeks now, and I really appreciate all the great information you’ve posted, along with the more colorful anecdotes, etc. Thank you – especially because this is a very new experience for me and every bit of information helps me understand my son’s chosen life and how to support him to the best of my ability.

Thanks to all of you as well for your service to our GREAT country!

I believe the appropriate sign-off is … HOOAH and RLTW!!! Anne
Actually, Anne...the appropriate sign off is to sing the Stars of Texas. And when Moms and Dads come here, your mere support of your kids in the service is all that is needed to garner our respect and admiration. Good group of people here. Enjoy. 8)

Anne, I feel that is extreme important that we set the record straight here and now! Although the Pastor (Rock Island Ranger) does out rank me SIGNIFICANTLY, I got him where I think it counts and that would be TIT! (Oh excuse me Ma'am, that would be Time In Tab.) So it would be ok for me to point out that Texas only has ONE star, not "Stars" so that song must be a little boring. That why the rest of us don't sing it much. HOOAH and RLTW!
