Greetings to all of the Rangers:

My name is Gail and live in upstate NY and I am the mom of a new Ranger, who enlisted on 9/20/08 and has graduated RIP on 4/3/09. My son's duty station is 3-75th,BCo and he is a grenedier. Marcus is our youngest son (age 22) who has wanted to be a Ranger since high school. His father and I are extremely proud of our young soldier and would like to thank all of you for your Service to this Country. We are just starting to realize what a sacrifice you all have made. That being said, we are also going through a bit of uncertainty and fear about the future. We would very much like to be invited to join the parents forum. GAP has been a wonderful source of knowledge for us, but now ArmyRanger.com is the place for us to be. Thank you for your time.

Welcome aboard neighbor.
There are certainly members here who know your son.
There is a private 'Parents' forum around here somewhere, someone will be along soon to show you the secret handshake.

Congrats on instilling values in your son that has motivated him to serve in such a way!

And, good on you, ma'am for taking advantage of the "services and support" of this site. It's amazing to me how much information is available now compared to during "my time" not only for the prospective Ranger, but to/for the ENTIRE family unit.....

No, but I can find out for you and help your young Ranger get the attention you think he deserves.

Just kidding, the First Sergeant is a good friend of mine. Your young Ranger will get the best training possible.
