hello everyone.iam poopscoops dad. my son shipped out this past june 25th.he is 4 weeks int basic.i am also a veteran, served from 1976-1979. the majority of my time was with the 3rd ACR @ ft bliss tx.things have changed a lot since i joined. i will be lurking around here quite a bit. i have just one question, during my sons first pass, can he leave the columbus area? we live in ga and he would like to see his neice and nephew.thanks

Welcome to the site and thank you for your service. I highly doubt your son will be able to leave the Columbus area on his pass. They don't give them much time off and they really like to keep them on a short leash, for lack of a better term.
