Awesome! He's off in the suck! Understand that while you write to him everyday, he MORE THAN LIKELY won't write back EVERYDAY (He more than likely won't even get the mail until Mountains or Florida for that matter). Those damned RI's know how to fill your day (and night) with endless assurances that you will hate the next day even more! And, it all depends on what company he is in as far as when he gets mail. Like the other Ranger said, 3 weeks of love or 30 minutes of instant gratification ...
I have some REALLY great ideas for care packages that some wives did for my Ranger buddies.
If you have some time, read "Gates of Fire." Pay special attention to the way Pressfield illustrates the character and the strength of the Spartan wife. It should help you to understand your role in being strong for his goal. PM me if you need anything or have Q's. My gal just had to go through it and she can definitely empathize with you.
