Welcome aboard - this Ranger was in my squad and had the room next to mine down at the right end of the hall. 2nd Platoon B Co. 2/75
My roommate had a grill, part of a false ceiling over his bunk, and one evening his roommate put a cup of water up there and ran a piece of string through the false ceiling back into his room. After it was lights out, his roommate pulled the string dousing my roommate with water after he went to sleep. I knew it was going to happen so I had my headphones on and was facing away from him because I didn't think I could stop from laughing once it happened.
Sure enough, about 15 minutes after the lights were out, my roommate gets out of his bunk, turns the lights on cussing "What the Fuck?" and of course I protested that the lights were on, 'Shut up and go to bed, turn the light out so I can sleep' - trying to keep from laughing in his face at the same time - and besides not believing he was soaked, he looked up at the vent and it only took him about 2-3 seconds more until he was cussing the guy on the other side of the wall - 'Fucking Ralph!'
