Intro Young

Post by S4 Young »

Hello, first off I would like to say that I am thankful for those who serve, and those who serve this site. Plenty of useful information.

My name is Young. I have served in the U.S. Army (ra) six years and NG for two years. I have been out for nearly three years. In that time I have went to school, and earned enough credits for an AA.

My business here is to learn about coming back in as a Ranger, and hopefully as a Ranger Medic. when I was in I was a medic, so I am hoping that is what I will be when I re enter.

Once again thank you for help, and mostly your service to our great country.

23LRS Sir, Yes I was a leg. I was in 1/37 armor in Germany (as a medic). PCS'ed to Ft. Lewis to another armor unit. Re-enlisted and went to 514th ground ambulance, which is in 62nd meidcal brigade, also in FT. Lewis. Got out and joined the NG as a Network admin (74B) but before going to school, took a mission at Portland airbase for a year. When that was over, I asked if any units in Oregon was going to the desert. The reply I received was no, so I got out and went to college.

Ranger RTO,

1 because I was stupid. I was hungry for money, and thought I could make more on the outside, but only became a pogue.

2I have a family I want to take care of. The retirement plan is good. I would like more structure in my life.

3 I have always been interested in special operations. My goal is to become a 91w (68w) with an asi of w1, which is a Special Operations Combat Medic. Of course I am nieve and listen to the recruiter and he says I cant do it becuase I am prior service...blah blah.. He said "oh you can go through RIP" and so I have been thinking about it, and I decided it sound like something I would love to do.

4 I didnt really know much about the rangers. I was in a damn armor unit and they didnt have many Rangers come through. A couple of scouts but that was it.

5 Thank you
