SitRep

Post by ShotUp »

Hello once again RANGERs, Veterans, and other visitors to this site. After a PM I recieved I figured it was time for another quick SitRep on my current situation.

I'm still currently under the supervision of the CBHCO program, as they continue to monitor my progress. Things have been going well, I've taken a couple back steps (foot wound opened up a tiny bit), but other than that I can not complain. Anyone who's ever been to WI can tell you how cold it can get, and that's brought a new task to me. I've been waking up with stiffness and slight pain in my right foot, but I'm slowly adapting to that.
I begin my REFRAD process on 02DEC and I'm looking forward to it. I just want to get it done with, and hopefully they will let me continue in the Infantry, but as off today that decision has not been approved or disapproved.

Just in case they do ask me to switch my MOS I have been looking through other options. At the top of my list is a support battalion that has not been deployed yet, and will have a SGT/E5 slot open soon. As much as I'd like to get back in the box, I'm still not sure if I'm ready to be in that type of leadership position. I still have a lot to learn, and enjoy the learning. That's all as of now, if anyone has any other questions. I check my PM's frequently.

RANGERs, Vets and all others on this website. I promise this will be my last SITREP, and then this post will finally go away.

I just got word from my Case Manager and PSG from the CBHCO program that I am being medically cleared from the program. I also recieved the good news that they will be letting me stay with my current unit, and also be able to stay in the Infantry. It couldn't have turned out better, in my opinion. It always feels good when you work hard for something, and it all comes together.

I will have a profile until about AUG 2006, but I can waive that profile if my unit wants to send me to any schools, which is also a great thing to be able to do.

I again thank all of you for your support and encouragement along the way. It's been almost 10 months and things are starting to come around.
